Expand the
Education Freedom Tax Credit
This program helps parents, not government bureaucrats, decide what education is best for their child.
The scholarships are paid for by private donations and a federal tax credit, not by state taxes. The program does not raise your taxes and does not take a dollar away from public schools.
This program gives working families earning up to three times their area’s median income the chance to choose the best path for their child.
Families can use the scholarships funded by the tax credit for tutoring, books, online courses, therapies for students with disabilities, and private school tuition. Scholarships are even available to students enrolled in public schools.
Families of children with disabilities or learning differences can use the scholarships for tutoring, therapy, and specialized programs they often cannot afford on their own.
Thirty states have opted in. If your state has not opted in, those other states will receive the federal benefits and scholarships, while your state will miss out.
